MY Favorite Day of the Week

MY Favorite  Day of the Week 

            My favorite  day of the week is Saturday  because it’s a day my family enjoys the time together. My typical Saturday consists of several activities. There are so many places to go hiking and camping in California. I usually go hiking  at a nearby mountain or go camping at the national park, such as Yosemite and Death Valley for two days and a night. I like the national parks  because  there can be trails, caves, waterfalls and lookouts with a view to die for. First , I organize our backpack before I go to bed on Friday night.  I wake up early to go hiking or camping in the morning.  Around 7 or 8 o’clock on Saturday morning ,  My husband and I have  a simple breakfast ,and then prepared  at a sandwich to eat outdoors. After that, we fill up the tank at gas station and drive to the mountain or  trail, such as Mountain Diablo and Muir Woods. As soon as we arrive at the park, we start hiking trailhead.  we keep going up the mountain or along the trail around 2 hours. Finally, when we arrive at our destination, we have  lunch  and coffee time there and take  pictures together. I

 also enjoy the grand landscape and feel the breeze on my face and fresh air of forest . So, the worries seem to melt away. We always try to finish  our hike before sunset. When we come back our home around 6 pm, we usually feel tired and fall asleep early.   Why is hiking and camping so much fun? I think that hiking is a  great escape to get away from the daily grind of life. In conclusion, I really like Saturday because It’s a chance to relax outdoors and to be far from work and the duties of home.
