The Redwoods of The rugged Northern California coast are the tallest living things in the world, and one of the oldest  the Sequoia sempervirens grow  well over 300feet , live between 400 and 800 years on the average and can can live to 2,000 years. They once grew throughout the Northern hemisphere, but climate and topography changes   have destroyed much of the Redwood forest; today they can only be found in a remote area of china , along the Sierra mountains and here on the upper coast of California.  We felt relaxed and could be leisurely drive away along the coast. Here is the perfect place to enjoy the ancient forest and majestic Redwoods.

Fortua: Riverwalk RV Park & Camp ground  lies nested by  the side of Eel River Stands of picturesque giant Redwoods fill the surrounding hillsides.  immaculately maintained grounds and facilities add to the relaxed atmosphere.

We visited historic Eureka surrounded with the ambiance of the Victorian  era, step back to a more leisurely pace. at here, we experienced  the charm of Victorian architecture and old fashioned shops is one of America's prettiest Painted Places.With  it's unique location on Humboldt Bay, Eureka is surrounded by Redwood Forests and rolling green pasture lands, providing the vantage point to see the California North coast. The area is especially attractive to me
